I've lived in Brighton for many years. I first started coming to Brighton in the late 1980s. When you stand on the beach and look out to sea, it all looks the same. But in reality, I think 90% or 95% of kelp forests have been destroyed through fishing and the environment, the biodiversity etc. that goes with them.
The kelp regeneration projects, I think a part of Suff Bay is working to regenerate that kelp. This feels like this combination of hopelessness and hope together. It's really inspiring.
