Naz Khan: Championing Cycling for Women in Manchester
Naz Khan had never ridden a bike until a few years ago. Having learned to ride, despite pressure not to as a family because it's not something women were expected to do, she became a mechanic and cycling instructor.
She's putting on events to encourage other women and families to ride and is single-handedly flying the flag for cycling in North Manchester, which has historically had low uptake for cycling and a very hostile environment to ride a bike in due to the attitudes of drivers.
