transcript
My hopeful story is Zarlasht Halaimzai, who is the founder of Amna, formerly known as Refugee Trauma Initiative. It's an organisation supporting refugees, aid workers and organisations with all the tools they need to deal with stress and trauma. Her story is extraordinary Zarlasht herself was forcibly displaced from the conflict in Afghanistan. I would so recommend her TED talk to hear more of her story. Today the organisation Zarlasht founded over 10 years ago, called Amna is working around the world to ensure that as many people as possible have access to vital services that support their mental health. Amna is also working to support and advocate for displaced families, youth and children. Zarlasht is my story of hopefulness today. She's been rightly honoured for her work and I would recommend checking out the amazing work of Amna.
